Sharing pinPAD's

Roving PinPAD, many to few

A new feature added to the ACK product range allowing a single pinPAD to be shared between many tills or a single till being accessed by many pinPAD's. Great for use in applications where the transaction numbers are low but the sale value high or perhaps the reverse scenario in hospitality sites where a single till could support a number of pinPAD’s distributed around table waiting staff for example.

Reasons to consider a managed service from Datacash

Datacash can provide merchants with the following reasons to consider using their services;

  • PCI-DSS – DataCash operates a fully PCI DSS compliant service, and by utilising its services customers will remove some of the issues and significant costs that they face to become compliant. DataCash will contract with customers to remain PCI-DSS compliant through the term of the contract.

  • DataCash offer a complete payment solution covering both cardholder present and cardholder not present including MOTO and E-commerce transactions. By bringing all a companies transactions within one agreement economies of scale can show overall cost reductions.

  • DataCash also offer a real time online reporting system, which will show its clients all transactions regardless of where they originate from, thus giving significant benefits in terms of reducing reconciliation time and accuracy allowing staff to be more productive or redeployed entirely to other tasks

  • Datacash offer a fixed price contract for the full term for a fixed amount of transactions, which will also include 3D Secure, a generically accredited Chip and Pin solution, plus all the necessary terminal Ids required to process the transaction whether CP or CNP in a timely manner. We guarantee not to put the price up over the term of the contract. There will be NO hidden costs and NO added extras.

  • There are no annual maintenance costs.

  • There are no hardware costs (aside PIN pads) so capital expenditure is kept to a minimum.

  • There are limited communications costs – customers would connect to DataCash via the internet, potentially utilising existing broadband circuits making greater use of this investment. Alternatively savings could be made by switching away from more expensive methods such as ISDN and sharing the costs on existing telephone connections.

  • DataCash manage the settlement process, so there is no need for customers to have to check settlement files have been submitted, thus saving significant manpower, costs and ensures that funds reach the merchants bank account in a timely fashion. Any settlement file issues are managed by DataCash.

  • DataCash represent the lowest risk option as a supplier to customers, having a complete solution offering. For instance there is no requirement to go to a third party for 3D secure transaction authentication – mandatory in 2007 for any Switch or Maestro card purchases over the web. Because all data is processed through the DataCash gateway, it takes responsibility for maintaining the MPI log and therefore has complete control over the process.

  • Payments and fraud risk management are DataCash’s business, they are its focus, and as such clients are guaranteed of having a “best in class” solution.

  • DataCash have their head quarters in the UK – its Directors and Senior Management reside here – all strategic direction/decisions are made in the UK. All development, accreditation and updates for UK acquirers are performed within the UK. If the banks or card schemes decide to make changes, DataCash has the ability to make these changes in the minimum of time, because its entire support and development staff are based here.

  • DataCash is acquirer neutral, so if customers decide that they want to change acquirer at any time, they can select their new acquirer knowing that DataCash support all the UK entities and can switch clients simply with no additional effort required by the merchant , as DataCash carries out all of the work required to implement the change of acquirer.

  • DataCash operates multiple data centres – that are geographically separated to provide optimal resilience. Each centre contains both a production and a backup system configured to be active / active - in short providing optimal resilience against system failures and therefore ensuring that trading interruptions are minimised.

  • The DataCash solution delivers class leading performance. The company continues to invest on a monthly basis in ensuring its systems provide the fastest transaction times possible (circa 2 seconds if bank systems are performing) regardless of the volume demand placed on it by our clients. DataCash’s system capacity is continually monitored and increased to provide a 200% excess to accommodate unusual peaks.

  • DataCash has additional solutions that can be “bolted on” to the current offering, including risk management, fraud screening, UKash (the ability to take cash on the internet), voucher solutions, wallet solutions. DataCash is constantly scouring the market to identify additional payment methods which will enable its merchants to increase their sales and integrate those payment instruments into its gateway.
